Google reader is very easy to use. Adding a feed is simple- enter a search term or an approximate URL and it will present a list of choices. If you want to have an item stored click the star. Everything about it seems to work as it should.
It doesn't have the intelligence of some of the desktop apps which pay attention to what you read and make decisions based on that. But it does everything that I need. - Except allow you to search through the archived items. I'm sure that's coming.
I didn't use RSS for a long time because I work on a PC at work and a Mac at home, and was unable to find a reader that worked for both. Not to mention the fact that what I read at work, for example, doesn't show up as "read" when I got home. Google Reader fixed all that for me - now I can check my feeds on any computer or on my iPhone with easy. The interface is light, simple to use, and pretty much does everything I want it too. Additionally, having universal search of all my past feeds works like a charm as well when I'm trying to remember something I read weeks ago but can't remember where. It's a great resource.
